Publishers of high quality fiction.

CallahanCroft Publishing is an independent publishing company dedicated to the publication of high quality fiction. We are committed to promoting fiction writers whose work through story educates, inspires and empowers. We seek to publish authors whose work holds strong integrity and fulfills the greatest diversity of voice and style. We work with established writers but are open and willing to embrace new unpublished writers as well.

We will consider all forms of genre fiction, however focus primarily on our interest in science fiction, fantasy, mystery and adventure. We are also highly interested in the opportunity to publish spiritually motivated and inspirational books of fiction. We will consider all forms of autobiographical or biographical works, and or fictionalizations of the same.

We DO NOT publish poetry works or collections, self-help, teen focus, or instructional manuals, and while we will continue to accept submissions for review by literary agent only, we will be limiting our future representation of non-fiction, humoristic and short stories.

NEWS
We thank you for visiting our website. Our most recent focus has shifted toward the specific genre bodies we are most interested in representing and in doing this, we have narrowed our once broad field by eliminating in part the more liberal of our non-fiction areas, while expanding interest in both autobiographical and a body of cross-genered fiction works.

The Portland Read is a program we have initiated to help children from low-income families in the area have their bookshelves lined with imaginative stories. We invite you to register your child with us and for your convenience you will find an easy online registration form for submission. There is no charge.

We have reopened our submission practice for the time being and are accepting manuscript, queries and book proposals at this time. Please note however our submission guidelines. Submissions will only be accepted through your literary agent and/or agency, unless we post otherwise; however, there will be open review times in which we will agree to accept non-solicited materials for consideration.
